Aidan's Eleven-Month Pictures

The year mark looms near in the horizon as we hung out on Labor Day weekend, swam in the pool, and took a bunch of pictures. Walking is getting better (although it's still teetering), laying down for diaper changes is a major catastrophe, swimming is a blast, kisses are starting to be given, words are starting to become clearer, and anything anyone else is eating must be sampled. It's all very hectic and exciting. Let it never be said that life isn't interesting.

Aidan before and during sitting on my shoulders. It's a lot of fun for him, as can be seen on his face,
but it can be rough on my lungs--notice how little of me there is in the middle shot...
Aidan & Mom playing a favorite
game: "Throw me up!" (I know.
It sounds grosser than it is.)
Aidan poses for a picture
with his mom, waving to
his adoring public.
A little token of
appreciation and affection.
Another favorite game: "I'm
going to splash now!"
Family portrait, with the
noble hound trying to look
regal in the background.
He kind of looks like Boss Hogg
from Dukes of Hazzard. Sigh.
A more thoughtful pose. Some family portraits look more serious than others. Some also
don't involve tickling people right before the picture is taken.
Adam practices for the inevitable.
Aidan, apparently drunk. Boys and their toys...
Playing solo. He's very shy, obviously. More proof that he's mine.

He's quite intent on reading. If only he knew words...
