Fall 2008: Of Pumpkin Patches and Halloween

Fall of 2008 was a busy time for us, with a trip to the same pumpkin patch we hit last year and a fun Halloween. The trip to the pumpkin patch was a lot of fun; however, Aidan ended up sick on Halloween, fighting tonsilitis. Nonetheless, he made it out to a few houses and the church festival before heading home to crash. So what follows are a few pictures from these two events.

The usual preliminary and
cautious assessment of things...
...but this time, we bravely broke barriers and approached animals.
We even fed some - to the animals, it was like St. Theresa had come.
Even gadgets were used to feed. Or because turning things is fun. More food is doled out. And the goats rejoiced: "yay". BatGoat stares down at
Aidan from his mighty perch.
Yes, we went to a real farm
to play with a toy farm.
Happy? Or irritated
at the paparazzi?
Pimp Daddy Mauthe whistles
for his ho to come back. (This
caption will let me sleep on
the couch tonight for free!)
Still pictures don't do this justice, but Marshall and Aidan felt the need to run in circles for about
five minutes before we left. It was just like the chariot race in Ben-Hur. Except, you know, not.
Running out of ice cream is just a state of mind. There's always drops left to get.
A mighty lion
investigates his table.
His attack is so fast that we
only have blurred images of it.
Bag in hand, the hunt begins.
Down the steps and off to get candy. Nothing can
stop us - wait, is that a bug?
The hit of the night:
the inflatable slide.
