The Spaghetti Incident

At least once in every child's life comes a time when his parents decide, for whatever insane reason, to let him or her eat spaghetti on their own. There is no reasonable explanation for this behavior. Spaghetti, under any circumstances, is a messy food, even for adults. Giving it to someone with minimal fine motor skills and no interest in being clean seems a natural recipe for disaster. So why do we do it?

You would think, from looking at these pictures, that Aidan isn't enjoying himself.
This is not quite true. Despite the somewhat sour expression in the middle picture,
fun was being had, but so far, this was more about sustenance. That was until...
...we discovered the joys of bowls. That was when the havoc really broke out.
