Christmas, 2007

For 2007, we had a bunch of different Christmas celebrations - my mom's house, our house, Maria's parent's house. All of them were pretty amazing to Aidan; this was the first time he was really aware of Christmas, even if he didn't quite "get" it yet. To him, he just walked out and found a bunch of new toys. And he was just fine with that, I think.

Aidan, all prepped to go into
the ice sculptures. One of my
all-time favorite pictures of him.
Mom-Mom and Daddy aid with the unwrapping of presents -
something he figured out pretty quickly...
You would think nothing would fascinate him more than books, and for a while,
you would be right. That is, until he discovered...
..the glory of blocks. And they even
come in a box. AWESOME!
Aidan's first Santa presents.
The calm before the storm.
This wooden train was a source of great joy.
Check out the grin in that last picture if you don't think so.
Gabby assists with playing. Aidan, Alex, and Gabby help me check out Maria's wooden bench.
My big present from Maria - a
Mauthe family mantle clock.
What a dork. Hoyte enjoys the family time.
Or sleeps. One or the other.
Laurie and Marshall, the youngest of the grandkids. The aftermath at Laurie's house.
