Key West

Our first stop on the 2005 cruise. A quiet little place, and apparently the southern-most point on the continent. A lot of chickens, too. The coolest thing we did here was see Hemingway's house, but that's in another gallery. These are just some shots from around town.

There is also a completely awesome video that I took here, as well, of a sidewalk performer who was doing twirling while we waited to get onto the ship. If you're interested in seeing it (it's about one and a half MB), click here.

Click on any picture for a larger version that will open in a new window.

Key West from the ship. Foggy morning, obviously. The ship, as we left.
Florida Keys Military Memorial. Acc. to Meghann, a bad
museum, but a cool building.
Part of a large sculpture
garden in the town square.
Meghann, kissing
HER MOM! BURN!
Neat church.
Some chicken with its babies
that Maria fell in love with.
Shots from the southernmost point of the country. This is the
kind of thing Neil Gaiman was writing about--points that don't
really mean anything, but people are drawn to.
All shots from the southernmost point. I like the last one the best.
The southernmost Christmas tree in the US.
Even MORE meaningless, isn't it?
A friend of Adam's from Chatt
that he saw in Key West. Weird.
